2010 Race Categories
(Note: professional riders may only ride with amateurs)
Entries must conform to the following categories:
Open Men
Two males of any age 17 years or older as of 31 December 2010.
Open Women
Two women of any age 17 years or older as of 31 December 2010.
Mixed
One male and one female of any age 17 years or older as of 31 December 2010.
Sub-vets
Team members of either gender to be between the ages 30 - 39 as of 31 December 2010.
Veterans
Team members of either gender to be between the ages of 40 - 49 as of 31 December 2010.
Masters
Team members of either gender to be 50 years or older as of 31 December 2010.
Open Tandem
Riders of either gender of any age 17 years or older as of 31 December 2010.
Important Notice:
Where team members fall into different age categories, the team shall race in the category of the younger team member. A rider under the age of 17 may apply for exemption to ride in a team, providing the organisers with a full CV of previous experience and racing results over the past two years. This will be forwarded to the Chief Commissaire for a ruling and possible exemption.
Riders can apply for seeding for Day One through the submission of a brief CV to the race organisers. Thereafter, riders are seeded according to their accumulated finishing times. This will also determine the start list for the time trial.
